The project was negotiated directly with the Architect and Client having worked previously with both parties previously. Bentleys were appointed as Principal Contractor to carry out the structural works and layout alterations, over two levels - ground and basement which included refurbishment and fit out elements.

The Balmoral Hotel

The Balmoral Hotel is a listed building situated adjacent to Waverly Station on the corner of Princes Street and North Bridge, Edinburgh. We have partnered with Rocco Forte on many projects at both The Balmoral, Edinburgh and Brown's Hotel, London. The project featured is Phase 2 of the Bedroom Upgrade Programme carried out within a live hotel environment.

5 Star Hotel, Perthshire

Bentleys were appointed as Principal Contractor to carry out the structural and layout alterations, refurbishment and fit out of the Ground Floor of the Sports Arena which forms part of a 5 Star Hotel complex. The works were phased within a ‘live’ building where client staff were present but excluded from work areas. The contract program of 16 weeks was extremely challenging though ultimately achieved.

The Balmoral Hotel, Edinburgh

The 5-Star Balmoral Hotel is a listed building situated adjacent to Waverly Station on the corner of Princes Street and North Bridge, Edinburgh. The project featured is Phase 1 of the 2025 Spa Fit – Out project which was carried out within a live hotel environment. Works comprised of the fit – out of 5 treatment rooms, and an individual Mani Pedi and Hair treatment room and also a guest toilet. Bespoke laminate vanity / dresser units with oak framed trolleys, storage wall with feature panelling, manicure desks and hair stations were fitted along with bronze effect metal shelving and solid surface Silestone tops.

A Reception Desk – Design Development from Concept to Production

The Reception desk featured was manufactured for the Gateway project at the Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh. We have included some images which show how CAD Technicians within Bentleys Setting-out department work with Designers to develop manufacturing detail drawings from design concept drawings. This particular Reception Desk features a mixture of both solid oak and oak veneers having a clear matt lacquer finish along with Durasein ‘Solid Surface’ tops and Laminate finish plinths.
