Walker Luxury Jeweller, Dundee

(Refurbishment / Fit-Out, Architect – Aim Design (who provided images))

The project was negotiated directly with the Architect and Client having worked previously with both parties previously.

Bentleys were appointed as Principal Contractor to carry out the structural works and layout alterations, over two levels – ground and basement which included refurbishment and fit out elements.

Works included removal of a steel staircase with floor infill, install a new steel staircase to the rear of the premises within a fire rated partition. A structural opening was formed between the two shops which was on the line of an existing chimney breast which required temporary partitions and a brief closure of the existing shop. The prime objective of our program was to ensure the existing shop unit continued to trade with minimum disruption to business.

Fit-out works included a new secure external façade, bespoke joinery desks and display cabinets, new floor tiling, wall tiling, metalwork and laminate lowered ceiling and wall finishes and decoration works.

Subcontractor packages included Demolition, Builder, Marble Tile Flooring. Hardwood Flooring, Specialist Security Glazing, Upholstery, Roller Shutter, Steel Stair, Mechanical and Electrical and Painting & Decorating.
